Well as the topic title says, I have
finished my MP40 I recently post out a time ago.
Well here is the result, with hands, CS style so
abit oldschool but I LIKE IT
Please IGNORE the bad quality it's because of the jpg file,
I use jpg because it doesn't takes that much memory but it isn't
that good quality, there is always a bad thing isn't there
The skin I used is 512X512 I know it's abit to big and not al the place of it is taken as you'll shall see, but I'm planning to at some extra's to the skin but I'm not sure about this.

good model and good texture especially the arms and fingers that look good.

unless thats a giant holding it, your gun is far too small for the hands! easy to scale though.

hands are definitely too big, but the texturing is really cool.

the texturing is very cool, but the skin of the hand seems to be out of counter strike...

You could addd moe vertices to round the hands and arms.
you are not in today models polycount !

Id say make the polycount times 3, and the skin times 2.

I know it isn't the best detailed skin and the model's shape can always
be better but I made this at MY way and I'm happy with it
By the way, I always wanted to make a 'pretty' shaped LOW POLY MODEL and I think I succeded in that point !!!!

I think you are all right about the shape, I mis scaled it abit
BUT I rescaled it and this is the result:

The first two are the same as my first post, only that the gun is scaled or been brought in proportion with the arms:





The last two are also screens where the gun is been brought in proportion with the arms but the arm which holds the gun is been replaced underneed the gun close to the trigger away from the ammo clips:

Itsa good model man. You used the polies quite efficently, but it is a rather low number. Most low poly guns now are around 1000 polies without hands, well thats my standard.

The gun is still too small. It looks like its supposed to shoot BBs.

One last thing. Since the Nazis invented this thing why not have an arm texture of a Nazi uniform? Unless this is for a game of yours. I would definately ditch the counter strike skin. I know it's directly from the game because I've extracted it before in the past.


About my Nazi uniform suggestion, don't get any wrong ideas. Most of my German ancestors were killed by Nazis. I was just making a suggestion.
