I'm searching for the file "flame.mdl" mentioned in the "Level Design - Practice: - Light & Shadow III" WED_Tutorial_e.chm. Does anyone have this file so I can try it in the tutorial? I did search on the forum for "flame.mdl" and no results came up perhaps I am the only person with this problem?

Cheers for any help/guidance on this

nevermind about it. I saw that model time ago in demo game that shipped with 3dgs (called "adeptus", I think).
But it's nothing special, you can do more better and real flame with particles, try to read AUM, try old good Easy Particle from Timo Stark and so on.
