Hey wussup... Well after 4 years of not touching a 3d program I started messing around the other day and I just finished a little section of possibly a military base and a character head model.... If anyone can give me any feedback on how it looks from an outsiders point of view also suggestions:

comments on the character:

The head is a bit too round at the top. No one has a round head like that!

And I would suggest making the retina's a bit smaller and more crisp. Its a little blurry. Eyes shows if something is alive.

I cant really see what the level looks like the screenshots are too small!

Looks good so far!

The level screenshots are a bit small but from what i can tell they look like nothing more than a cube with a brick texture applied to it and some type of street lamp(prolly a prefab) by it , that cant really be called a level. As for the head , it would look good if it wasnt because it was made with FaceGen Modeller , which means u didnt do it urself , so why are u posting a screenie of it like u made it ? So what feedback do u want , u havnt really made anything , well u placed a block in wed and applied a brik texture u found somewhere to it and added a light by it in a hollow block with some type of hideous terrain in it , and u exported a head into gamestudio from a program which makes heads automatically for you. Here's my feedback , the level is horrid , i'm sure u didnt make any assets for it other than placing a block in a hollow block and adding a texture u didnt make to it , it looks like something a 5 yr old can put together in under a minute , and i cant give u feedback for the head because u cant receive feedback for something you didnt do. So after 4 years of not messing around with gamestudio you got motivated and decided to give it another shot and maybe make a small level or something , and this is what you came up with ? plz , maybe u should give up game deving for good. Btw , I HATE people who show something they didnt do and claim it's their work , i see nothing wrong with using bought assets or buying a program to make some assets for you to ease the workload , but saying u made the model and asking for feedback on it is INSANELY GAY .

Keep on work!
Shure there are better but also worse things here around (often just blabla)!
I think the head is good - if self-made or by using a tool.
The level is very easy but you just start over...

but you can see the roundness, and i dont think only normalmapping can create super round objects? ... i dont know, i hate normalmapping xD so i dont really know the technic a lot

i was wondering why it has so weird shadow makrs in the face, it looks like he has a lot of bumps in the face.


but the graphic style is good.

Interesting painterly texture on the face in a6. Is there some kind of shader there or just one texture?

Ever seen the movie Zardoz? There's this flying head that goes around spitting guns out at people to invoke war.. Plus Sean Connery runs around in leather straps pulling people around in a little cart. You could make a Zardoz game without having to create the rest of his body! Though you'd have to create a sexy little Sean Connery model:

I belief it's a problem of the texture (converting). Maybe too less colordepth (8bit).

because i have been modlling long enough /know enough about 3d art to tell the diference.. but in this case its VERY VERY easy to tell.

as for the facegen program comment.. i knew i reconized the face frpom some where
