well i was reading a thread and there was a joke about warez users being fed to the "warez bunny" by doug, and it sparked my interest, we constantly point out people that use warez, so what does conitec do after we find them?

they are being transformed into cute little bunnies and being encaged into a very small cage.

Let's see: we've boiled them in cheese, fed them to the bunny, turned them into bunnies, send JCL over with a bat to "sort things out", fired them from cannons, launched them into space... I'm sure I'm missing a lot here.

The honest answer is, we have a legal group that handles this. We turn over records and they handle the rest.

its the black ninja group.

We usually give them the choice between our legal group or me with a bat. So far, all opted for the legal group.

In serious: it depends on what they did with the warez version. If they are just kids and haven't distributed it further, they normally only pay - resp. their parents pay - the price of a Pro Edition plus the legal fees. But when someone is caught distributing it - and this happened also, just recently - it's a lot more expensive. This makes that warez beta version a considerable source of income for us and our attorney. I'd prefer it the other way, though.

poor parents, cuz pro is the only warez one out there isnt it? if i had a kid and i had to put out $1000+ my kid would be seeing my baseball bat :/

That's how my dad handled me, and I turned out just fine!

wouldnt it acytually be fun to make a game based upon JCL (with a bat),
hunting down the warez bunnies... lol
you'd have to search out the warez users, track data, and at nightfall go to their homes and smash some property, lol.

each level the houses get more expensive, and there will be guards.. oh goodie, gotta love that game, would be a great community game. if only JCL would suplly us a model from him, would be awesome!
