We will accept entries that have a few MBs over 20, but a 50-100 MB game isn't "casual" anymore. Don't forget that this (20MB) is the size of the archived demo, so the game itself can be bigger.

thanks clearing that up. just another follow up question.

lets say i have a game ready soon and want to submit it to the contest too, i will make a special contest demo.
so that conitec can use this and only this contest demo for any purpose.

conitec does not get the rights for my whole game automatically?

You can submit any version of the game - Conitec doesn't get "the rights" for it. We will simply upload it to Conitec's website, allowing the other users to check it out. See it this way: if you send a good demo, you get free advertising

They do however maintain the right to use screen shots on the web page, is this correct, if so, again... "free advertising".

I would like to expose a resourced demo for the users and to supply an
archives with the open source code for George and JCL.
It's possible?

Sure, if you want to impress us with your code . It's not needed, though.

just wanted to ask if an online bomberman game a casual game.
it's simple, fun, good for breaks etc.
but it's "online"... hope that doesn't kill the right to be a casual game

I'll need a bit more info: what do you mean by "online"? Does it only run in a browser? Do you keep the high scores online?

no, it isnt a brwoser game...
its.. well an online game.
you conenct to a server, choose a session and then play with other guys bomberman over the net... of course with A6 but powered by populace
so it's a full online game. no offline mode (at the moment).
you can play it in LAN without any problems, but I optimaze the code to be playable over the internet.
but I don't know if you mean "casual games" = games for a single person... like pacman or... solitaire
