well i made this thread to get a good idea of how many commercial developers we have currently.

Now as most of us are working on a "hope to be one day" project, in order to state that you are commercial on this poll you must have already made some money. If you "vote" even tho its not voting, plz post, with maybe some details, im interested to hear how people are doing with the fun, or income.

Are you using 3dgs Commercially?

The reason why I voted commercial: I had a solid income over the last year with A6 each month and due to my studies I'm forced to lay everything a bit down, but, fortunately I will keep on selling my services and products.

LostClimate -- it's an interesting question. May I suggest an addition?

nope and I don't think so, I'm under our own engine, so I mostly use it to kill my boring days

edit:
i wanted to add, personally i havent made too much yet, probably about a couple hundred, which is nothing since i've owned the engine for almost 2 years.

Glider was our past project before I has been employed, but as I am able to tell you, it sold decently (in the case of an independent studio) in Germany, the eastern european states and the US. Our current title will ship near March all over the german speaking countries. Watch out for my signature.

No, its intended for the german market, though, all game - elements should be intuitive to foreign speaking people.

Generally speaking, I'm pretty happy about the revenue IR has brought us.

The return on investment (time, money, etc.), however, was not even in the same ballpark as this or this. I always said that writing Palm OS games during the early '00s was like printing money, and writing PC games during the mid '00s is like pulling teeth. ;)
