I think there are many ohter resources on the web about AI, and as AI is a such a cimplex and difficult subject, i dont know that much useful discussion would result. Also, Ai is not at all Gamesutdio specific..

Uhm, well, but shaders aren't 3dgs specific either, except perhaps their implementation. Same goes for AI off course, scripting AI in c-script is somewhat different from C++, eventhough in it's basics it's probably very similar.

By the way AI doesn't have to be complex and difficult, same goes for shaders, as long as you know certain basics or techniques, infact AI is easier than shaders imho since 'a reaction of an enemy' can be AI already, which off course can be very basic. Besides, it's useless to write superduper intelligent AI npcs for a gamestudio project,

Cheers

i'm in favour of a new section for AI, but there would HAVE to be a sticky warning away users who want to say "someone make me an AI that does kills the player, pathfinds perfectly, knows when to sit down and have a sandwich, etc." and point them in the direction of User Requests. a specific section on AI would probably entice a lot of n00bs to see what they can harvest from the AI pros.

I would like to see this forum too. Btw I know this doesn't relate directly to game studio, but a concept sketch forum would be cool too
