Rhuarc, I remember that too... you know, when people relied on gameplay to sell their games. Now, it seems less and less games do this... [sigh]

Oh well, looks nice! I doubt, regardless what view you are in, that you should have a hollowed- out barrel. Its a waste of polygons (regardless its still low poly) but hey, when I model, I take them out wherever I can lol... other than that, looks nice.

Jimmy died, today, he blew his brains out into the bay, in the state of mind, its my own private suicide. A stitch in time saves nine... what the hell does that mean?!?

That's after half an hour's work last nigt - now I'm doing half an hour more. The changes were basically the addition of a hole for shooting out cases, a trigger, and a better shape for the handle. 680 triangles at this stage. Expect another post soon...

EDIT
Here's the *final* mesh. If you want me to flatten the bottom of the handle a little for a clip, I can do that. For now, I'll start unwrapping and texturing.

You can't see it from that angle, but I scaled down the barrel a little bit.

Sorry it's been so long - hope I'm not comitting a vile act of threadomancy. I've unwrapped the whole thing and I'm starting on the texture. Yes, I know it's crappy so far, I need to look up a real reference pic to see what sort of detail to add. I baked in some ambient occlusion (go Blender!) so it looks prettier.

EDIT: dragon, what do you want the wriing on the side to say? I'm going with the Glock logo, a number, Austria, then another number for now.

EDIT: Restarted the texture with a less blue colour (more black, like a ref pic I found), but it looks like this model is going to need some serious love from a real texturer .

actually it's starting out great, you've got the basis down, now all you have to do is add the details, and darken it, and it'll be great, it's a very nice model
