Mwhahahahaaa I'm back!

With something to explode your eyes (sorry I just love blue ):

New features:
- Basic level reader (not shown, and must be enchaned for lostclimate's level )
- Frame Buffer Object to speed up post processes
- Post processing: Blooooooooooooooom! (I'm on to Tonemapping )

Looking slick! You should make some sort of game out of it or a demoscene demo .. lol, or better yet, a demoscene screensaver

Cheers

I'm working on and off (mostly off) on the engine. Currently, the pain in the arse is projective textures, which won't obey my ultimate control on them =/

Well, after I get everything ready, I will post up a screenshot/demo.

It's an effort my friend...I wish you all the best and looking forward to it.Please post more screens when you can for us to see what the Engine can do at the moment.

Good lighting doesn't just happen,it's designed.

=( Bad news fellas.

I'm not going to make the shadows just yet (just CAN'T get the damn projective textures working *sob sob*), so I will create rest of the gui stuff and look into the animationing, maybe.

Havn't heard anything from the level by lostclimate. But it's not so necessary just yet, since I'm going to rewrite the python code in the exporter anyways..

A poll!!

Which one should I do?

waaa, sorry for not fulfilling for the poll T_T

I've been busy with my school and just like 6hours ago I started to look for HDR mapping.. well.. I got the bloom and tonemapping working.. also the exposure thingyfoo...

These are not for this engine, just made the example code for mr. Ambassador, who is working on BlendX, a game engine plugin for Blender.

but here's the shot:

Yeahh.. it does not differentiate from the bloom so much apart from the fact that the colors are rendered in 16 point floating values and the amount of exposure is automatic and the shots are taken with the effect when you'd come from dark alley to bright scene in an instant (I quickly turned the camera towards lit objects from pit dark).

The testlevel is the regular 1000x spheres that are all around 300-600 polies (can't remember). Also this version does not use frustrum or LOD's.

EDIT: Here's new shot This time I reduced the amount of bloom so that it looks "realistic"

ambassador is working with centralnoise or is he the same person ?

Do you plan one day to continue your engine or you are done with game engine ?

Ambassador == centralnoise == toonist
at least as far as I know, I've been speaking to the same person

I propably won't continue on this, since BlendX is much further and I have to figure out how to build Blender (to get BX to work on Windows). I will then start a small demo project on it, now that it features HDR.

Why BX is not working on windows?

( I know last question off topic )

It's just that I haven't figured how to build blender, so I cannot build blender with BlendX so it's not tested on my platform yet
