Im getting 1004 out of memory error. In manual says: Quote:
Error E1004: Not enough memory A Windows memory allocation function failed. Your game attempted to allocate more virtual memory than available on your PC. All today's PCs should have enough virtual memory (about 1 GB), but old machines might be misconfigured or set up to a very low virtual memory size. The error message can also be caused by a wrong nexus value (exceeding the limit of 200) or a model, sound or image file with a wrong size due to a damaged header.
As virtual memory is big and my nexus is 120, I assume that some file is is with damaged header like you said. How can I find which file is damaged?
I am geting this error only on lower machine. On my high-end machine I am not getting any error.
How can I get this error on lower machine if nexus is only 120? Machine is semprom 3000+ with 256 ram and gforce 5500 so it is not "that low".
Can it be 6.5 bug because I am not sure that I had this error on 6.4? When I lower nexus to 60 game starts but as soon as I click on load level button I am getting error nr. 2000- d3d out of memory error
thnx

It is definitly some model header problem because I found one just older version of the game and everything work just fine with good stable 40 fps. So in meantime I changed some model and this strange error comes. How can I find which model causes the problem. Just please dont tell me that I should go one-by-one because i have them about 300 thnx
I added LODS for almost all big modles in level, maybe hats the problem.

Can you tell how much memory did it consume?
Also try re-saving all models and re-building maps, there may have been something occured during saving (still not visible).

I resaved all models again and nothing happens, I still have that error.
So what I can do now? I am close to finish it now and got this error which makes game completely unusable on lower systems. Or I need to go back to the last working backup and redo all work again? This is really big frustration for me.

I added a lots of LOD models, taked down some texture sizes from 256 to 128, etc, but only usual stuff. I only programmed some small particle effects but not so memory consumption.

I am lucky this time because I made backup 2 days ago so I will loose only 2 days of work. I just tested 2 days old version and it work just fine. This thing defintly should not happen
