I have a line in a sprite, if i see the sprite in front, i see the line straight, like picture 1.

But if i get side to side with the sprite, the line becomes distorced by my perspective, you have the idea that the line is bigger in the right side and tiny in the left side, like in picture 2.


How can i make the line not do be distorced by the perpective?

I want the result to be something like the 3rd picture.

Note: Changing the line's size in the skin picture wont go.

I'm guessing this is for use with a portal, in which case you need a shader to render to the screen.

Sorry, but I'm not able to release my code for this ATM...

Yes, its for the portal.
I cant run shaders neither.

I only need the math logic or the camera's logic using his .arc, size_x, size_y, pos_x and pox_y to give that effect.

Btw, what you mean by 'ATM'? English is not my main language, so some words like that i cant get it.. lol

You need a shader to do this. Sorry...

3DGS only uses a perpective based camera...

I'm making my school in 3D, and some rooms are small, because of bad scale, i cant fix them at this moment, so i tried to make a portal like prey's portal render to make rooms look larger and to past trought them to the other missing part of that rooms....

Look, i found that if i make the sprite look always to me, the image doesnt get distorced by the perspective.

But that only works if the portal is always staring at you, if the portal is oriented=on, then the picture 2 thing (perspective distorcion) appens again...

I think i'm almost there, i made all the way trought here, there must be a way to give the right illusion... maybe using 2 cameras in the portal?? Is that possible? To divide the screen in sectors??

Oh boy..... :'( I'M ONLY 17 YEARS AND LIFE IS GETTING PAINFULL!! :'(

If somehow, i could make the sprite/model skin look perpendicular to the model/sprite... i mean, the model/sprite rotates, but the skin doesnt... that would solve the problem..
