Following some screenshots from an actual side project until i find a full team for Dark Age. It's (as the title says) a space game, similar to X(btf,2,3).

No story yet - and I doubt i finish it; well.. depends on how fast I can find a team for Dark Age.

EDIT: Almost forgot my greatest helper: MK.1 - He did the basic movement code, shaders, the asteroids and the skycube.

I'll try to make a video so you can see the effects in action(especially the boost effect)

C&C Welcome as always

NAIL ME DOWN!

the game has a kind of style. I think you don´t have to improve the graphics very much, because everything fits well together.

I hope the game will be fun and more complex as asteroids for atari.

One little thing which bothers me is the high ambience. Did you tried to make the shaded sides much darker? But maybe that´s part of your (slightly cartoony) style.

The shader for the asteroids and "space crap" uses normal mapping and two direction lights (emmited by the nebulas). That's why the asteroids are lit from two sides.

Looking good so far. I don't like the spacecraft's interior at the moment. The metallic looks too bright, perhaps tone it down a little. Ow and off course it needs more detail, but I figure you are aware of that.
Great space backgrounds, really hope you finish it someday,

Cheers

Looking very good (says an avid sci-fi fan..) The asteroids and hull panels look good but what is the ship type?
