Looks very good!
A lot of action

Have you tried SEED_IT with it?
Maybe you can lower the fire sprites transparency a little?

Keep on good work!

We use seed it for the trees and it works excellent as a clip soon will show seed it works like a charm.
The fire explosions look great and need no work only on the screens you see multiple explosions so in a real explosion you can't look through a fireball

although i never tried that grinnnn

I think the Cbabe population is a bit too small in scale, other than that looking cool so far!

Cheers

Cbabe-population! Word of the year!

Back on topic, Looks really good, even if it's abit simple, but finally someone made detail maps on terrain!

Looks pretty nice and if it plays anything like N64's Nuclear Strike it should be a total hoot!

uh, i have to say it looks even worse than the 1998 extreme assault game. sorry. to turn this into a constructive critic, i will list the things i don't like:

-terrain texture looks washed out
-empty landscape
-what did you think when you designed/textured the "houses"? esp. the roof textures look embarrassing
-what's that plastic radar on the right?
-sky / clouds made of blue boxes?
-no lights, no shadows
-08/15 HUD
-model shading errors

hey realspawn, i remember you with much better graphics and style, where's it gone now?

looks like screens from 3DMark 2000 or something
nice job
maybe terrain, explo and water are wired
but this is a static screen so I might be wrong

Never say never.

-terrain texture looks washed out

The texture is 2048*2048 with detailmap. It looks okay if you are on the floor but a bit washed out in the distance. I think about changing to an multitexture shader.

-empty landscape

It is empty, but do you know how fast the framerate drops down in big landscapes?

We should wait for Realspawns answers here, but he told me that the buildings are only meant as dummymodels. Now as you say that, you are right, the radar doesn´t fit very well. We should change it.

-sky / clouds made of blue boxes?

It is a skycube. But he used the wrong for the pictures...
I think what you call boxes is the water. The shader pixels everything to much in the distance. We will change to an other shader soon.

Quote:

-no lights, no shadows

You know, it is A6.
But we should use a lightmap for the terrain. stencil shadows gives a lot of problems and are really slow.

-08/15 HUD

It would be great if you would post your ideas for a better HUD.

PS: Thanks for all those answers
