It is empty, but do you know how fast the framerate drops down in big landscapes?

If you use SEED_IT you should get a tolerable framerate also with more environment.
Seed some models you can see also from far-distance and add a seeding with more objects that appear in short distance.
Use the LOD-system. This may help.
You can use SEED_IT also for the houses/towers/cbabes. (define a "per-pixel-placement"). If you have questions just contact me by pm...

sure

http://fltsim.group.shef.ac.uk/hud.jpg as general overlay

http://www.4p8.com/eric.brasseur/flight_simulator_tutorial_37_HUD.gif you could use rounded images as you may find it in planes

or use something semi-transparent as in, maybe, ut. looks modern and it's easy to create. the alpha channel is your friend. http://www.nvnews.net/images/news/200303/ut2003.png

again @broozar this is 2 weeks work of 2 persons.
Like i explained all basics must work before i expand to high end eyecandy. Models are all dummies but still they fit enough for the demo. The models will be all replaced later and are in the making by a proffesional model man
What use would high quality models have when there's no code yet

As for graphics its all a matter of taste. I want an easy arcade feeling that's my aim so dont expect high detailed cockpit stuff in the future as there's no need for it in this game. This game aims for fast blasting flying and fighting like i admired the gameplay in the old days
i still think gameplay is more important then eyecandy graphics
but again thats a matter of taste

you will all see this project grow i hope
that;s why i posted this early work always nice to see a game under devellopment and critics are always welcome but will not always be listened to

grinnn plastic radar ? well for me it;s now importants that it works excellent

the shame with screenshots is that you can't judge code quality. so i was just referring to what i saw. if everything's in the making, i'll stay tuned.

I guess there will always be critics even if you clearly state that there are still placeholders visible on the screenshots.

Anyways, what's the style you're going for? A Desert Strike/ Jungle Strike/Soviet Strike/Nuclear Strike approach or more a Airstrike 3D approach?

Airstrike II ( http://www.3dgamers.com/screenshots/games/airstrike2/ )
Nuclear Strike (it's one of the later sequels to Desert Strike, the one and only classic I guess )( http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/nuclea...ag=images;img;4 )

Cheers

I hate modern high-tech games, they make me jealous Especially THP8, i hated it from the first screenshot
About the game:
Can't tell much about screenshots, if everything is WIP. Will your game be a reckless "destory-everything-on-the-screen" arcade, or there gonna be some tactics?
