Am sorrry if this has already been posted,but is there a way to simulate
client and server in a single PC,so that I dont need to publish exe files
and transfer to other PC everytime I need to test a small piece of code ?

just run the game twice
first with -sv
second with -cl

Does this work with A7 commercial? I'm Trying to get the pong demo working on a single PC.

It works with virtual PC but is very un-usable.

U MUST BE HOOKED UP TO SOME KIND OF NETWORK.. any will do..

I hear there is a way to do so without a network connection.. but no one is willing or remembers how to..

The client ned the IP of the server.

back in the days with Win98, and A5, I never had a problem just using -cl
on a single machine (and also never a problem to connect to a server running
on a computer over a simle Modem). Somehow on Vista, with routers and firewalls, I have much more problems.

Anyhow, try "-ip localhost", as this should give you the ip of the local computer

For local test I use these commands

Server
Run client/server mode: -cl -sv -pl Observer

Client
Run client mode: -cl -ip 192.168.1.54 -pl TheClient
