i think its a directory issue. see, my levels are in one folder on my g: drive, but my gamestudio folder is on the c: drive. i put the codes in my code folder that i had in the g drive into the c drive, but i am not sure if they were still in the right place. i was trying to do the path thing in the beginning of the code, but i got errors again. its not the codes, its the placement, i am sure of it. does anyone understand the path thing, and can you explain it? maybe that will solve my issue.

Well if its caused by the location of the code files, why not just copy all needed wdl files from the gamestudio directory to your project's folder?

ok, there were a few scripts that were from an older version, but i am using 6.60 now so i just had to replace them, no the errors are gone. now new errors.

non exsisent/empty function start game, and quit game. neither of these functions are in my game.wdl script. i guess they might be in one of my included scripts, right?

well, good news, i added those function and the menu works perfectly, no errors. but you know this isnt the end of it,lol. now when the level loads, my model is frozen. he has the plBiped action, because the plhud is working and the camera works if you hit 0. please tell me its an easy fix, lol. i will go into the actual level and play with the model. maybe its stuck to the floor or something. thanks for your help Xarthor.

Perhaps, if you haven't already, you might try to place the 'relevant' material found in "Shooter_Project.wdl", particularly the template-specific gid material, in your 'main script'. However, you may have done that already, ...that may be 'tricky' and might not solve your new issue. Also, you might have to do the equivalent of a template next level, but I have noted that other than setting the gid01_level_state, there doesn't appear to be much to modify for initiating a 'template next level'.

my question is, should that gid be specific to the game.wdl? i dont have wmb file named game.wdl, its just a SED script. will that cause an issue? maybe thats why its not moving.
