Hi!

How do i get my (compiled) game starts directly in window mode without quick changing to fullscreen before? (like it does when using the command -wnd)
If i use video_set(800,600,32,2); the game switches nevertheless quick to fullscreen and then back to windowed mode.

But where You put video_set(800,600,32,2); ?
If you cut it off from display00.wdl and f.e. paste after level_load in main menu should works fine, I hope
Cheers.

Never say never.

Hi,

video_screen should do the trick:
var video_screen = 2; // 1=fullscreen 2=window

A little OT but still with the main theme, can anyone guide me into limting the cursor to stay within the game window by default then switch to normal behavior on key press?
I dont know where to start with this one.
Thanks.

mouse_pos.x=clamp(pointer.x,0,screen_size.x-bmap_width(mouse_map)); mouse_pos.y=clamp(pointer.y,0,screen_size.y-bmap_height(mouse_map));

// mouse_map must be defined

Thanks for the help.
What I ment is that a key press should clear the cursor from the game window in order to click outside of the game window again.

Code:

on_anykey=setMouse;
function setMouse{
mouse_mode=1-mouse_mode;
while(key_any){wait(1);}
}

// to keep the mousepointer within the games window (no cursor visible outside) you need a dll-function that supports the win32 api ClipCursor()
