xXxGuitar511 - Your right, as well as the rest that mentioned shaders, but if you choose to do this then you need to figure out which one looks best for your game.
Ready - The hair for most models in my game is about 300-400 polys. It varies alot based on hairstyle though, with chaotic and large creatures having around 800 polys.
JulzMighty - heh, its supposed to look unplanned, like he jsut woke up, but not anime style or something. It's a really bad angle for the pic, but theres heavy volume in the back and sides so the top is a bit more flat. Each side of head has 4 rows of 6 poly flats, and all except the bangs edges are almost perpendicular to the head for volume.
you can find me with my face in the keyboard, unshaven, listening to some nameless techno tragedy, and hashing through code over a cold cup a stale joe.

My Famous Quotes: "Hip hop is like a virus, infecting everyone and everything around it. Every form of media has some way, shape or form, assimilated hip hop into it." It has also mutated into other strains like, trip hop, house, rap, gangster, and conscious forms. Once you are infected with it, its with you for life."

I tried a new technique for anime styled hair. What do you think?? NOTE: Could someone tell me how to make 2 sided faces for the hair? Whenever I try, The model gets these white looking triangles during the rendering. It is so annoying.

It's not that hard Blink, just make a tga texture of a piece of hair, and paste it on the hair model, use d3d_entsort=2; to prevent z-sorting errors and done. @exile: It's neat

Thats great looking hair there! And it matches your style perfectly. Mind shooting me a pm with your technique, I could send you mine, and we both might get better

I'll be uploading a tutorial shortly, I hope that people will find it usefull. I know that it's the least I can do, considering all of the wonderful tutorials everyone else has made.
