As I understand the manual, setting stencil shadow to off defaults to a dynamic z-buffer shadow when a model's action has
my.shadow = on;

But I'm not getting a shadow. What am I missing?

The only thing I could imagine is you forgot to define the sun angles and a strength of the sun_light.

Thanks. You're probably right. I'll check it out.

That wasn't the solution. The model is on terrain. Is it that z-buffer shadows don't show up on terrain?

they do(work with terrain), check the manual for floor range...or something like that, it may be the issue.....

Everybody Poops.
here are some tutorials I made.

I played with floor_range, floor_trace and shadow_threshold and nothing happened.

Thanks, Slin. A block partially solves the problem for z-buffer shadows. But the shadow disappears when the model goes up a hill.
Floor_range or floor_trace doesn't seem to help that.

The reason I'm trying to avoid the stencil shadow is because two of my models throw shadow lines, like the kind you get from open mesh, and I can't seem to eliminate that problem even tho the meshes are closed and welded.

Is it's my.transparent = off; ? (ok, that was a weird question, lol, funny phrase). as far as i can remember, models using transparency dont cast shadows...

anyway, worth a try.
