I can't find any options in the program to export the heighmap as a *.bmp, tga, or pcx. The only options it gives me are *.raw and *.sgi.

Can anyone help out?

export as .raw, open in image manip program (GIMP, PS, PSP) and save as .bmp, .pcx or .tga

Another good way is to use EarthSculptor ( www.earthsculptor.com )
