It looks awesome, but why a 256*256 texture? 512*512 or 1024*1024 is the current standard

Fuxers work looks awsome.
I´m waiting for the moment to implement it into the game

@bstudio: Do you miss any details wich could be there with a higher textureresolution?

Great model and texture! - Good work...
Event with a normal map!
Chopper-zone 's getting better and better.

How did you manage the aiming-angle of the soldier (tilt)?
By bones or % of vertex-anim...?

i meant closer like standing infront of him. i don't think the camera can come that close...

And even if, it's still good enough, it doesn't look blury or undetailed at all so 256² is just fine.

Sorry to jump in, but Why not 512x512 or 1024x1024 skin?

Many of the textures in DOOM3 were 256x256 and even 128x128 for walls and doors and other aspects (all models)... it's necessary if you are using normal mapping specular etc etc... its very necessary, in fact, for optimizing.

Believe it or not, still in this world there are people who arent rich (It's True!) and cant afford $500 graphics cards and 3+Ghz processor computers. Unless shooting for a very specific computer spec, games should be made with that in mind. Whats more... not all models NEED that big of skin.

Realspawn, that model looks awesome even with such a small skin, it's amazing in fact
