The Proposition (the contest):
The contest is to see who can make the best 3DGS logo banner, we'll keep it going for about 2 months (about the release of preva) if enough pitch in, and have a vote at the end of the contest. This is to see how well you can do 3DGS logos...the areas of judging will be:
1. the style - how well you pull off the style of the logo matters completely in voting, considering this is the main area of voting.
2. color contrasts - keep the color contrasts good, something that works well together, as well as something to offset the image works great.
3 website implementation (optional) - if you have implemented your banner into a website, this area will be judged by how well you implemented it into the overall design of the page.
The Prize:
fame and fortune (not really fortune) amongst the forum members who actually care about the contest
, as well as a good designer reputation.
(at the moment there is no prize set, but there may be by the end of the contest)Of course since there isn't a great deal to win atm, lets just do this for fun, i would like to see what others can come up with, and if you wish to share your banner with others, feel free to.
A banner must be at least 50px wider (horizontal) or 50px taller (vertical) to be in the contest. Here's an example, as well as my 1st entry:
