other stuff is intuitive only because you're used to all the other shiz. spend 20 mins getting used to blender and its shortcuts, and it's actually easier than anything else.

i'm sure you're right, but i think most people are really skeptical at first. i was.

I have to admit that the GUI looks pretty intimidating eventhough I know it's mainly a matter of unfamiliarity with Blender, it's not so much skepticism. Still, it's by far not as intuitive as for example Wings3D or even 3DMax and Silo. The Blender guys could really do quite a lot to improve things bigtime. Keyword is "intuitive" ...
3D Canvas seems like nice software, I'm going to check it out for sure,
