@lostclimate: honestly, i'd love to have you work for us, so you'd like to join the MP studio. well, you know what, fine with me, i'd love to have another programmer  , and i'd like to have you soon, but i might have to wait until preva is done...and uh i might talk with my partner about this @jiggalypuff: but of course, you could distribute it with your game, and have full access to edit it how you want, however, it would be limited to just you editing the mod system source code, but all other players of the game would be able to add mods as they want, because it would be pretty lame to have a mod system and only you can do mods  to get back on subject, does anyone else think i should release this, i think i will already, considering a few people do like it, tomorrow i'll be working on it some more, and i'll give a progress update, it is possible that the basic mod system will be done by then.

Any news on your modding system. Have you been able to implement the scriptable modding part. Please upload a demo version to see what kind of functionality is possible with your scriptable modding system.

at the moment i haven't had much work on it, but the free version is about 70-80% done, but i may recode it, which shouldn't take long, because i ran into one problem, which i now have a solution for, so after it's done i'll release the free version. The scriptable system will probably take quite some time, but i will try to work on it in my spare time, with preva being my main project, i won't get much work done, but i promise to have the free version out soon.

I am interested in the scriptable more. Can you give some insight into what and how good will be the scriptable part. Are you going to implement a virtual machine or will it be just interpreted machine. What kind of language would be used for scripting. Please give some details atleast to know what we are looking at.

it will be using a self scripted language, basically a interpreter, the only thing is that with both versions, youd have to write a kind of template in each mod script file, so whomever mods the game knows what to mod. the only thing is, if you wanted to make every bit of your game modable, then it would take quite some time adding all that code to the text files, and the free version will just basically use the "execute" function meaning it will let you use any kind of code that you can use in the console, including while loops, if/else, etc.
ventilator, actually it's just a tool using c-script, you'd have to have 3DGS to use it, and would have to have published some kind of project using 3DGS.
