I improved today and yesterday my modeling skills. You know me as programmer and nerd and .. whatever. For a (yet) silent side-project which I will announce here late november, I did a "christmas gate".. whatever it is! Caitlyn (Jetpack Monkey) did the sketch, I did the textures and the modeling. Here it is:

great start!!

there is something slightly off though...
seeing all the snow around the level, the rocks and the door are too "clean"
try putting some snow on top, on the rocks a simple alpha map would do, and on top the door you could do a simple model that lies on top.

anyway, great start! and show us the improvements!
