Post Processing

Checkout the rotating/moving models in the video. They have applied a normal-mapping shader. Also every other shader for the models is possible because the shadows are a ppe effect (like mentioned above).

>> is it possible to combine that with static shadows?
yes (see above)

Thanks for the reply. A demo would be a great idea and a new edition for A7 as well.

If you need some textures for a resourced demo then I am willing to help.

Best regards,
Frank

zapan, i would be VERY VERY VERY VERY interested in this plugin!
What's the plan with it, you gonna share it, or gonna sell it?
and how user friendly is it to plug it in someone's game?

regards,

I would be very intrested in this too, but I am wondering, if this only works with "model on model" or can the models also cast shadows on blocks?

I´m very impressed. Just one thing: I´ve made a screenshot because I´ve noticed some strange light behavior.
Sometimes the light gets tesselated to something like this:

Is that related to the A7 lightsystem or to your plugin?

no science involved

and if i got it right, it just appears if you move/turn fast

PS: fantastic work, you did that just with a view entity and rtt?

This is indeed a problem. You can only use models for that. Due to the fact that A7 can render block geometry in mesh-mode you can use the shadows there, too (when the level is compiled in mesh mode and the material was assignt to it). But simple block/Bsp levels can not cast or receive these shadows.

That is/was a bug when rotating a spot light (for performence reasons). This has nothing todo with the camera movement and/or rotation.

Yes that's right. All you need is there...

That kinda "s*cks" Because I sadly dont have A7 and don't plan to upgrade anytime soon. But Still, it's fine, I have to get used to model-levels anyway.

Assuming that this requires the RTT feature from pro, I guess I can use it in commercial too by using an RTT-Plugin? Would be nice to know if this is possible.

Otherwise I have a big problem, that I infact have to upgrade to Professional (and A7 at the same time).

Oh, and as I haven't said it yet - Great work!

Well A7 Com now also has render-to-texture so it would just be the 100 € upgrade...

Enjoy your meal
