That's not true, he clearly states that the license is for hís code only, so he already made and clarified the exception.
with the non-modified GPL his code can only be distributed in non-binary form separate from the engine. also by others who use it. that´s quite a limitation.
yes, that´s the idea and i like it and there should more open gamestudio projects like this. if you use his code you have to share your derivative version aswell. nothing wrong with that.
but i think the GPL is wrongly used here. it´s stupid that you can´t distribute an executable.
