Joozey: Read the posts a bit better. In one of my posts, I wrote a whole list of improvements that could be made to this game to make it better, so if that's not constructive critisism, I don't know what is! And If you could accept lies about your game, I as sure couldn't! But those are just personality traits, I guess...

it's still low-spec man. it's not quite as low-spec as the computers in my bro's school but it is low-spec. with all this dual- and quad-core stuff, as well as the huge gap between 1.5Ghz and 3.8Ghz (or whatever the max is) in the single-core range, what's low-spec to you? you're right, it should be more than enough to run this game (though that wasn't specified as your issue in the quote's original context), but it's still low-spec (my laptop i got 2 years ago specifically to be low-spec and cost almost nothing is 1.7Ghz; remember how fast computers depreciate).
else-wise, i'm in complete agreement.

Well, I guess I might have not written my arguments clearly enough, but my original concern was about this game requiring a minimum of 1.5Ghz to play! ^^

You're totaly right, and actually my post was for those who had nothing usefull to say but to bash the game. But then it doesn't make sense for me to say that I've read no constructive posts here, so, my apology for that .

Well I'm sure theres a whole psychologic aspect behind this, but let's keep it on personal traits .

hard to run windows XP on anything less then a 1.5GHz machine anyway, so i dont see the point of that. the less the better of course, but this wouldnt be my main concerne.
make better art, make better music or make better code is far away from useful and constructive critics to be honest with you. this can be said to every single game and still people should be allowed to chose their style.
good art may attract you, may sell more units and may fascinate the user for a short period of time, but the idea behind a game is what makes the difference.
randall focused on this, picked his own crazy and nuts style and theme and finished something really weired and different at the same time. All this so called flaws and mistakes add its own charm to the game in my oppinion. the fact that there is no lipsync conversation is simply toped by even stranger dubbing.
everything reminds me of some benny hill sketch game or old slapstick movie scenery. this might not be enough for halo3 users or crysis gamers, but once in a while it hits the taste of someone else.
so, why not. cheers

Read the negative comments, try to solve the problems mentioned. Do not use the default textures, find some good sounds, work on the story some more.
This is what I wrote, and I don't see anything wrong with it! If you do not think that this can be considered constructive criticism, then I have nothing more to say to you... ^^ And speaking about the 1.5Ghz problem, you should try running WindowsXP on more machines, before claiming that it is hard to run it on anything less than 1.5Ghz! I have no problems running it on a simple laptop, with 1Ghz, 256Mb RAM and a 32Mb video-card! But I guess you don't seem to understand, that this discussion is really about the specs required for this racing game! And this is another example of normal criticism - if you have lower specs, you increase the demographic of your game, thus increasing your sales! As Morpheus said:"I promise you only the truth. Nothing more!" I'm also writing the truth and facts here, all meant as suggestions to RanMan!
