Should a party which considers answers, assume that the party asking the questions: *has a behemoth machine *rules out old games for compatibility or other reasons *doesn't intend to 'mod in' coop++ *defines 'cool' similarly *will be scrutinizing effects & background art for played items Quote:
thanks in advance
predates this reply: "Oh you're quite welcome."
(actually I couldn't find the bookmarked links in an adequate amount time for topic due to transitioning)

Enemy Territory can be played in Single Player against bots and of course on local area networks and the internet. The official sytem requirements are: Quote:
Software -------- Windows XP or Windows Vista DirectX 9.0c
Hardware -------- Pentium 4 with 2,8 GHz or Athlon XP 2800+ (3,0 GHZ for Vista) 512 MB RAM (768 MB for Vista) Graphiccard with 128 MB RAM 750 MB free harddisk space Broadband connection
Supported Chipsets ------------------ NVIDIA GeForceFX Serie (5700 oder höher, 5700LE und VE not supported) NVIDIA GeForce 6 Series (6200 or better) NVIDIA GeForce 7 Series (7300 or better) NVIDIA GeForce 8 Series ATI Radeon 9700 or better ATI Radeon x700 or better ATI Radeon x1650 or better
That sounds relatively hard, but you should run the game on lowest details anyways to get the best possible ping. On my Athlon x2 3000 system with a nvidia GeForce 8800 GT and 4 Gigs of RAM the game runs with full details as smooth as silk. Roughly spoken, if you liked Return To Castle Wolfenstein MP then you will like ETQW most likely too.
Always learn from history, to be sure you make the same mistakes again...
