I can only say the noise looks rather disturbing on a TFT - might look better on a normal screen, though.

Looks good -almost 'comic book like' to me and hides any small blemishes in the textures (not that the had any). The only thing I might suggest -and I know zero about shaders- is that you consider if it is possible to adjust the noise to blend, or mask it or blur it by distance with the view somehow because it flattens out the image -in other words it robs some of the sense of depth from the scene because it is uniform. Anyway, my unprofessional observation but it is looking very good.

I am sure tommorrow Fuxer will take your suggestions plus his own ideas and put up some new screenies of the noise shader at work. I am guessing it will look much different than it does now. Yeah Bupaje, there is a noise blend variable in Ello's shader that could be adjusted also if changing the density doesn't make it look less flat.

The breaking glass idea does sound fun also btw and would take me about 5 minutes to add to code. Of course, Fuxer would have to do some work on the models/sprites and the animations for the different glass types breaking.

DaZ, our musician, has 2 songs done already and is working on some ambient music atm. We will probably be needing feedback on that here soon too.

Thanks for the input, keep it coming, it is very useful to us,
Loco

Ok, some music is up. You can listen to it here(removed) atleast for a short time. Feedback from the 3DGS Community is appreciated.

I like the game and how its coming along, but do you really thing a fulltime noise shader is "playable" on the long run?
I think its very distracting and creating some gfx issues (as bupaje mentioned the flattening of the screen) and a unpleasent distruction of the eyes.

Its like watching old tv shows on old tvs...this can be very anoying. To be honest i am a little bit afraid of that feature. I would recommend to make a turn on and off option for this one.

cheers

The music is very good!

I think the noise is very good for a night vision but otherwise I would not use it. It could be a good option to swith to that night vision in very dark areas.

Comments of the music:

The starts of the both tracks are a bit weird. The piano in Sorrow track doesn't mach with the rest of the melody in some places and the pan is too much on left in Sorrow.

But I liked the other instruments in sorrow a lot. And the bass ( what evr instrument was used for the bass effect ) was controled nicely. But a little better quality could reveal a little bit more of these songs. But overall nice work!

But one thing got into my mind: are these tracks going to be used ingame?

And for the noise: I think that it wouldn't be very nice if the noise would be too hard. Othervies it could suit the game.

This project is going on very well! Keep on going and you'll hit the big markets!

The sound in sorrow is supposed to sound a bit outta tune, I have used a broken piano sound to give it more of an eerie feeling, then in the background have an orchestra playing as if the sound is comnig from a radio, throw in some weird synth setups and u have that track I will be making some more 'ingame' tracks asap
