Spire AI System,

I am working on an upcoming Shooter AI System.
The XSpire AI is especially designed for fast, team-based Shooters like Unreal-Tournament
or Quake 3 Arena. But it can easily reconfigured to bring fierce enemies into life in
classical Singleplayer FPS Missions.

It will feature:
-different gametypes (Capture the Flag, Domination, Assault etc...)
-Different, adjustable Bot-Skill-levels
-configurable Weapons and Upgrades.
-Node-path editor for BOT-Ai
-Fast and challenging Bots
-Implementation for classical Singleplayer Missions
-Readymade implementation, just create your level,
configure the weapons, and edits the BOT-NODES
to have a running FPS Shooter.

Here is an early version of the AI, to demonstrate how it works.
There are still a lot of things missing, and is not focused on nice GFX,
as it should mainly show how
the AI behaves in an running enviorment.

I'll buy it but I need player fire\melee combat vs mainly melee combat for a survival horror game

I'm falling through the wasteland terrain when shooting.

There's no feeling in the game. I really miss a red flashing screen when I'm hit. I just don't notice if I'm hit and thus behave wrong (lack of information and situation results in a wrong state, you know? ).

Its not having all functions yet,
The main focus lies on the bot-AI currently.

The player now gets a death-feedback, and does not respawn right away.
(not in the demo)

Currenly Im working on Capture the Falg, but I need a nice (mirrored) map for that.

The falling through the terrain is somehow caused, when the framerate
drops too much. I have to check why this happens.

Oh, just found some of my Wastelandtools to be quite useful for XSpire.....
The good old Shadow-baker. (this is not a shader)

Den Shadow Baker hätten sie für Daemonica gebrauchen können. DA haben sie ja alle Schatten auf die Texturen gemalt.

Habe ich auch vor. Das wird ein Spaß

Ich denke aber, das sie für die Menge an Schatten-skins auch eine Art
Renderer geschrieben haben, ansonsten ist das ne elende Sysiphus-arbeit.

Mit dem gleichen Prinzip könnte man auch Farbige Lichter auf das Terrain projezieren.

Der vorteil der Methode liegt bei den sehr hohen Frameraten im Vergleich
zu shadertechniken.

Wanna release this shadow baker tool as a stand alone, too?

Would this work with a model instead of the terrain, too?

Hm, It could make a shadowskin for a model-terrain too with
some modifications.
The user would need to mix the shadow with the texture of the model
then in a gfx program (photoshop, gimp), but this is an easy step.

Its originally designed for Wasteland,
but I need some more features in XSpire ,

But the IceX editor and others do have a shadow baker too,

Fantastic. I like the idea of Pappenheimer to make it available as a tool for other users. I don't mind to pay a reasonable price for it.
