Hi there, I can not get specific, however the new version of Intense X has many new features and is more user friendly than those number suggest. They have not changed much, but yes they have changed.

Hi guys!

I decided to convert my project from C-Script to Lite-C because I want to use the Intense AI for the bots. Now I`ve serious problems - after about one month of working on the Lite-C version I realize that big parts of the game has to be rewritten to get it converted. That means weeks or months of extra work. I remember that there was a beta version of Intense X that was written in C-Script. Is it possible to order this one instead of the Lite-C version? I would even pay more than for the Lite-C version.

Robin

Hi Robin,

Don't worry about a thing. Your project does not have to be in Lite-C to work with Intnese X.
This is taken from our FAQ on the new site:
 Quote:
I already have a lot of my game programmed. Can I still take advantage of Intense X?
Absolutely. We have taken great care to ensure Intense X does not interfere with other code. In fact, Intense X does not even use any of the 100 skills for its Entities. You select what features of Intense X you want to use in your project and it will not interfere with your code!

This is taken from our FAQ on the new site:

Jcl has mentioned that you can use Lite-C and C-script in the same project as a way of transitioning from c-script, but I suggest you fully convert your project to Lite-C because i don't think lite-c and c-script could work together very reliably.. I agree that it's a painful procedure to convert although i never had to actually re-write anything. Just don't give up even if you're swarmed with new lite-c-conversion bugs, and eventually you'll get your old functionality back.. I'm afraid I can't sell you the old beta version cause it's outdated and I don't support it anymore. Also, you wouldn't be able to upgrade from the beta to any of the latest versions, which will offer more features for Deathmatch bot AI.

As for an update, today i finished the LAST panel for IntenseX. It allows you to add infinite levels to your project and easily jump from one to another, define videos to play in-between, set up skyboxes, play a different music for each level, etc..

Next to the list is setting up our IntenseX demo game and a few video tutorials that show IntenseX in action.. But other than that, the actual development for IntenseX is officially finished!

Cheers,
Aris

Does this mean you are done with the various versions of IntenseX too?

It does sort of mean that TUSC is a reality now, doesn't it?

No, I'm still working on the first version that was released 1 year ago. But the people who bought that version and are now entitled to the free upgrade will NOT believe all the new changes. I've included many features that were originally set for higher editions, like picking up powersups/weapons from the ground(or from enemies you've killed), changing levels, display videos at beginning/end, etc.. And also, the biggest change of all which is the new interface that I've remade from scratch. See how the fonts panel evolved to what it is today..

Yes, yes it does..

PS: How come we're not allowed to post images in Gallery replies any more? How is that any good? I kinda hate it..

Looks awesome LL, but my question is, for those of us that do not wish to covert to lite-c, can we still use intensex?

My Famous Quotes: "Hip hop is like a virus, infecting everyone and everything around it. Every form of media has some way, shape or form, assimilated hip hop into it." It has also mutated into other strains like, trip hop, house, rap, gangster, and conscious forms. Once you are infected with it, its with you for life."
