Monster Mini Moviez - Episode 1
Well, after a week of sleepless nights and days i prodly present the very first (and in terms of EXE release last) Episode of Monster Mini Moviez. Ze Moviez are a batch of 13 Short Movies (~1-2 Minutes per episode) created with the A6 Engine and based on Monster Mini Mayhem. The Movies include Characters, Locations and other Stuff from the Game, and are some kind of follow up. This Episode is the onyl one i will release open source to teh community. All otehr Episodes will be only available in AVI format or DVD or whatever i decide when they are all done. The code is very well comented and should provide a very easy start for newcomers to code and/or cutscenes with A6. Special Thanx to ello for his Toon Shader and Mortis for his initial aid. Here be Screenshots: NOTE: Some Skins are not completely finnished, but will be in the AVI Version. You can use ALL Code, Graphics and Models I made for free, EXCEPT the Jack and Bones Models (Punpkin-man and skeleton). Stuff made by others i dont know... Get the EXE here!

I agree that tiny bits seem similar, but it's by far not enough to say it's too similar. Anyways, Spike are you going to make some more Machinimas? Cheers

Frank you might not know it, but the Reality Engine was integrated into the Unreal 3 Engine, somewhere around or short before the E3 2006 (edit: make that 2005 according to Artificial Studios) ... so it's actually a game that uses the Unreal 3 Engine. I wasn't guessing at all, are you being unfriendly again Frank? You are right about the fact that it started as a Reality Engine project, I guess I had some titles mixed up in my head, happens a lot lately, too freaking busy with too much at the same time lol, besides, I said "I think..." indicating I wasn't sure, Cheers

Sorry for appearing unfriendly, Phemox.
Reality has not been integrated into U3. There are still Reality projects and they still get support. But the developer and some of his technology (like the pre-computed radiance transfer) will be integrated into U3 projects for sure.

Don't worry about it Frank. I fear this is going to be a 'yes it is', 'no it isn't' kind of discussion, so I'll leave it be, but according to both Epic games, Gamespot ánd Artificial Studios themselves the Reality Engine was "subsequently picked up by the folks at Epic and worked into the Unreal Engine 3" , needless to say, this happened in 2005 shortly after the Reality Engine was purchased. Off course older projects still receive support for that engine, I don't question that, however Monster Maddness: Battle for Suburbia is really using the Unreal 3 engine, already from slightly before the E3 2006; http://www.gamespot.com/news/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=25433470http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/action/monstermadness/news.html?sid=6149751&mode=previewshttp://www.firingsquad.com/news/newsarticle.asp?searchid=9981http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monster_Madness:_Battle_for_Suburbiahttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unreal_enginehttp://news.teamxbox.com/xbox/13237/Monster-Madness-Battle-for-Suburbia-Demo-Available-Now/Most sources seem pretty reliable to me, Cheers

Thanks Phemox for the info. Though this Battle for Suburbia is a later version of this game. But I do not know the series of Monster games very well. But it makes sense to switch to UT3 when they already are team of Epic. I don't think they paid the full price for the engine
