Hi @all,
I got started with 3DGS 7 (extra-version) some time ago, did all the lite-c workshops and so on and I think I've got an idea about how things work now. Before starting with 3DGS, I liked to develop smaller window-based applications in Delphi and I really like that language. I can't say that about C-script or Lite-C I'm afraid... So that's the reason why I thought about using the Delphi SDK Plugin, but I've got some questions about it...
1) Is it usable with the Extra-Version of 3DGS7 or do I need commercial or higher?
2) What exactly does this plugin include? May I use my normal Delhpi-Editor in order to write scripts for 3DGS 7 after installation?
3) What about game-specific functions, like "ent_move" and stuff like that - are they accessable out of Delphi?
4) Are there any problems that might appear, or, in other words, do things get any more difficult by not using C-script but Delhpi? For example do I have to know about things like creating a dll or something like that?
Basically I simply don't like parts of the C-Script syntax, I would like to stick with my "begin" and "end;" instead of "{" and "}" and also keep the ":=" instead of "=" and so on, just to give you some examples. You see, I'm not a Pro at all, therefore my main question is: Is it actually a good idea to begin with the Delphi-Plugin or should I rather make friends with C-Script?
Greetz!
Alan
