I have not worked on my project for a while but now i want to share some screenshots which showcase the current status.

At the moment everything is done using 3dgs default features and shaders.

this game looks better and better every time i see it. I remember when it first started I judged it as being kinda crappy with bad art, and thought that it was made with templates. Didnt have that impression for very long laugh looks great.

attached some new screens of the almost finished gras & vegetation system which is a hughe step for the project. The gras is painted in an texture and calculated into the game because placing by hand is impossible on this level size.

Once the player moves the gras will follow the player. The radius of the vegetation around the player can be configured.

The shadow map of the terrain is recognized by the vegetation system to show plants in shadow darker.

The next step is to integrate particle effects (e.g. clouds, fire effects, spell effects) and i am desperatly looking that SLIN will finish his great shadow map project.

And what's also missing is the movement for the gras and trees which is more complicated than i thought.

Looks very nice but also very generic medievil like with little personal touch to the environments or characters, it looks basicly like every other medievil game. Other than that it looks technical very good but as I said to generic.

Still looks very good.

What system is this running on and how many fps do you get?

The terrain detail is impressive. Terrain detail seems to be my second biggest problem right know other than shaders. Would you mind telling me what program you made the terrain in? BTW the project looks amazing can't wait for release.

It looks great. You included more and more modern techniques. Very good.

But the lighting is a bit off. The shadows are too dark for such a bright day. The buildings also are too dark. If you want to keep this contrasty lighting then I would recommend to use a more dark sky with a bright sun shining through a hole in the clouds.
Otherwise you have to brighten the shadows with a medium blue color.
