Just hire an artist and replace the AI with something more sophisticated
While the game looks very basic, your portfolio certainly does not! So I got the feeling that you'll get there eventually.

It remains a hard issue to decide whether or not something fits in showcase, and the question is if the normal members should even complain at all... that's what we have moderators for right?

But I just feel the urge to say that this doesn't fit here :P

Well, a finished project is a finished project, complex, simple, good or bad. Really that's one of the key requirements.

Other games are released for sale and they later change things, and this one isnt any different. And who knows, maybe changes will be made, and maybe it'll be completely different.

But, as it stands for now, they say it's completed, so Showcase is as good as place as any i figure.

hello all, thnx for all the C&C. i didnt mention all the details while posting. so here are the reasons for the critics:

1. its my first attempt at using a game engine and creating a game.
2. it was a college project for "intro to game design" so the planning n other stuffs were more important.. tats y used templates (due to time limitation).
3. artistic side (textures...etc.. ) were not really taken care of..

thnx a lot for all the reviews. i am planning to make another game with totally own script and more refined. will spend more time on it also.

Some people just aren't coders. I spent a while learning it, and I just don't understand it mathematically. I suck at math too so that was a big givaway lol. That's why I stick to writing and modeling.

However, after downloading the game, it seems broken and unfinished, and there are a number of glitches, such as the mouse movement is inconsistent and you can fly! The level design is terrible, no textures make sense, shingles for floor? The logo put everywhere was weird and the word X-Warz was actually used as a texture somewhere. Best I can see it, it's complete, I think

I had no idea of how to beat the. I just killed everyone, explored a bit, then just saved and quit.

lol! The showcase is for professional projects not nooby template rubbish like that! My 7 year old brother can make better games than that! But ur web is nice

i know the game is not as good as others in the showcase.

as mentioned earlier. this is just a try on Gamestudio first time on a game creation project. we had a very short time to make it.

i like all the comments n critics u all put.. this will help me for my next games. am now starting working on it from scratch. before i used templates.

now working and taking care of the art aspect also. with a longer development time. will then make a better one.
