Substituting sleep with energy drinks certainly is unhealthy though. If you canīt do without energy drinks then your life is a bit out of balance in my opinion.

Is it probably or likely? No.

Most times it's just some scientist who wants to get some attention by publishing studies that "Daily-use Object X" can cause cancer "Type Y" because of miniminiminiminiscule traces of substance Z.

Well I think the problem is the way things like that are defined. For most things it's just like if you don't get cancer / die after let's just say 3 weeks of having contact it's supposed to be "safe". There rarely is any long-time study about things like that which would be needed in order to really test those suspicious and potentially toxic products...

When looking at the cancer rates we have today it's obvious that certain things or certain combos definitely have a slow - let's call it "incubation period"...

That's also why I'm against things like genetic altered crops. Maybe there's no imminent effect but you just can't say what might happen to those who regularly eat it just as other "evolved" plants which receive the new pollen might react in a strange way. Imo at least for this special topic we've reached a scale we shouldn't do anything with such a potential of danger...

When talking about energy drinks I'm "happy" to say that I don't drink them and so most certainly get my toxic doses from something else... :P

Enjoy your meal

Yes I 100% agree with Michael_Schwarz. They just make those studies to make theirselve more important/known.

It's the same with Light Products. Aspartam already did cancer on rats, BUT (I think) you need to drink 7-10l a day as a human to eventually get cancer.

But btw. RedBull costs 1.75€ in italy... I just drinked one of it to taste it. Omg 1.75€... crazy.

But I think it's not good to stress your blood pressure with coffein.

One ray makes cancer? I thought your body can fight against minor-cancers without any help?!

I totally agree with this on you. Though, one time I have acidentally bought one bottle of Genetic Altered Soja. GOD! That tasted aweful. Had to cook the whole dinner again cause the taste destroyed it all. So im out of the genetic altered crop customer business until further notice.

It was just an example how just "being alive" has a possibility of giving you cancer.

Let's be honest, all those percentages of "possibility of stimulating cancer development" are so miniscule, It'll be way more probable that you get struk by lightning (I know, the probability is actually quite high - But you know what I want to say). So, I keep on eating fried and grilled meat and drinking whatever I like to, use my daily toothbrush with my toothpaste and go get some fast food every once in a while.

If I die from it, well bad luck. If not... so what?

If you want to prevent getting cancer at all cost, go live on a beach in a radiation safe bunker and if you have to, only come out at night. No idea why a beach would stop ground-radiation more than other places, but it's what my physics teacher once told me.

By the way, did you know cancer is transmitteable? People with cancer can infect you too when you are near them. It was even on the news...

There's nothing radioactive about genetic altered crops though... I think it's safe to say you won't die of cancer by eating it. But yeah, definitely a good point... the long time effects are quite unknown.

Sometimes not though... there are things we KNOW are hazardous. For example using mobile phones every day, or being in the sun way way way too often to get a unnatural tan.

Still, we often do not live long enough to develop cancer. I do expect cancer rates to rise though the older we can get. You are right about the sometimes weird definition of what's 'safe' also... quite strange when you think about it,
