Hello, I have a question about a some functions i am looking for.

I would like to know if there is any instruction I can use that is the oposite of ent_create().
I have tried to search the manual but have been unable to find what I need.
Something like ent_destroy(). currently I change the visible flag of the entity, but I would like to completely remove the entities I no longer use from the memory.

I would also like to know if there is a similar instruction to remove sprites, panels etc... like remove_panel() or something, to completely remove a panel from the mory (not only make it not visible).

Is there some way to declare panels for later use, but not have them loaded right from the start of the game? Also is there some instruction like ent_create() to reload a panel I have previously removed? Like: load_panel() or panel_create()?

You can use "ptr_remove()" to remove entities, strings, bitmaps, views, panels, texts, fonts, sounds and materials. ptr_remove works for all of these.

There is no way to declare panels for later use. However, you can create them any time you want with "pan_create()".

Thankyou very much, both of you have helped me alot.
I will look those functions up in the manual.
I like to learn things on my own, but its alot easier when I know what I have to look for to learn, thanks.

I have another question now that I am creating entities and panels...

What if I want to place an animated 3D model on one of my panels instead of in the 3D world behind the panels?

How can I place a model entity on top of a panel?

you can either use a "view entitiy" or a "view". Have a look under "ENTITY" in the manual. You than nedd to give the view entity a higher layer than the panel has.

How can I re-size models in these views over the panel (shrink them)?

What im trying to do is: The player can have several characters. So on the panel I am placing copies of his 8 characters, so he can click the panel copy of his character to select the real character in the game. Thats why I need smaller versions of the models on the panels.

Just to let you know: view entities render remarkably slower than normal entities. Don't use too many of them. A screenshot of the entities placed on the panels might do it as well.
