ok you'll need to create the buttons as seperate models, then position them on a keypad model in WED.

for each button, use String1 to store the number that is on the button.
To detect the actual clicking, you can use the EVENT_CLICK and run a function when the event is raised.

The function should get the String1 property (using entity.string1) and append it to a temp string (like my example). Finally check the string against the keypad models' String1 property. If they match, then open the door.

Im pretty newbie also. I am trying to figure a little more info that i need to know about how to use shaders. Im not very sure how to use templates right now so Im going to wait a while with the info of an advisor. I am interested in this topic you've posted here so ill stay intuned but right now the only way i think you can fix your problem is to message an expert, or a senior expert. Most people have enough time to give most newbs some help.

yeah, that with the models seperately i know how it works.. but that means for each switch i need to put each button seperately on it? that means, if my level have 4 doors, and i need to put 4 switches on it, and for each switch 9 buttons.. so i need to place 36 buttons.. right?
