you can make a plane model, and disable mipmaps on it's skin and use it's skin to render your video?
(you can remove mipmaps by unchecking mipmaps on skin settings.)
may work?

I don´t think videos can be played on compressed textures. That´s why I chose 888 RGB. Yes, you´re right,I forgot that compressed dds does not work with mipmaps. But for flat entities alternatively you can change the distance for mipmap textures with mip_flat function. Here you will find an example with mip_flat = 10.
