Hey,

I'm currently looking for a position as a freelance programmer (normaly non-paid) in an ambitious team.

Some Facts about me
I'm working for over 8 years with 3D-Gamestudio, and am an experienced programmer in C++ (4 years experience), C-Lite (2 years) and WDL (8 years).
Generally I'm able to write Plugins, use the Engine-SDK-Interface (pure C++ programming solutions) and write C-Lite applications/games.
At the moment i'm working on an ambitious WYSIWYG Designer for 3D-Gamestudio ( Forum Thread, Video 1, Video 2 ), but I also want to work on other aspects of game-creation.
Besides that I also would be happy to test the Editor in a game to finally release a working Beta-Version (you see there is a win-win situation smile ).
I would work together with German (my native language) and english teams.

Job-Type I'm searching for
As already said I'm searching for a job as a freelance programmer. That means, that i will not program your whole game, but I'm
searching for interesting (difficult) programming-tasks in your Game. Some example-codes you might ask for:
- Program a good working Weapon-System.
- Work out a nice team-based-AI.
- Write me a working Multiplayer SDK.
- Code a fast C++ Code based Shadow-Generating System for my static Terrains and Models.

I work for free, with one requirement: The task and especially your project must be interesting (I do not want to
spend hours over hours for a project that is cancled two weeks later).
I'm doing this just out of love for programming and not for profit reasons (the only exception: if you want to hire me for a not so interesting project - I decide! - you might have to pay sth.).
But: Just because there is already one or more posts below, try it nevertheless. Maybe your project is the most interesting and I'll program your code-wish smile

Additional Informations
Generally I'll just help in one project (1) i want to focus on the project and really help and implement the code,
2) I do not want to cancel my WYSIWYG Editor but just get my head clean, and do sth.
interesting again) so post here quickly (you can also write me a pm or add me via icq: 392692244 ) if you want to hire me smile

have a nice day,
TechMuc

Interested in quidditch AI?

Quidditch is a flying game, slightly similar to football(uk, not american).

It involves two teams.

On each team their is a seeker, two beaters, one keeper and two other players.

I need to make an AI for the computer to play the game while the player is the seeker.

Once i have the above i plan on expanding to let the player play as any member of the team.

Hi,

i plan a new game in April 2009
city dogfighters.

The PostProduction Idea is:

3d Flight Action Arcade Style with 8 Player (Multiplayer)
(I own the Commercial Version of 3dgs)

10 Aircrafts with different strength and weaks. (speed , armor, weapons)

Control with Mouse and WASD (left mouse fire, right mouse zoom, scroll = scroll wepaons, and WASD for left right up and down).

Primary Weapon is the Machinegun (caisson for fill up the ammo)

SecondaryWeapons: Rockets, Homeingrockets, parachutebombs, ElectroBeam, BiGBoom,

Armor1 ="RedBaron Shield" 50%
Armor2 ="TopAce" 100%

Aircrafts with jet and propeller engine.

Most Level are in a city, where you can hide, also we can make some freeland level.
ca. 12 Level for the beginning.

MyPart:
Website making
Forum for the devs.
coordination
Weaponmodels and aircraftmodels
Fonts and all the other things....

do you know the good old AirfixDogfighter?
http://www.gamershell.com/pc/airfix_dogfighter/screenshots.html

Our game is near this one, but we have only Multiplayer.

Max DevTime should be 7-10 Month (no complicacted Physics smile

I search for people, they must have time and have a good mind to dev that game.

Maybe we can sell the game for 10 bucks later, and do the profitsharing thing. smile

Thats my offer...

If you like, you can work with us on the game.

But First i have to finish my ballgame www.ballbalo.quakeit.de with my team.

Greetings
Andreas

@Blade: Very Interesting idea.

@ISG: I'm searching for 3D-Gamestudio Jobs, even if your idea is really interesting, sorry.

@Fogman: HLSL and ASM are one of the last parts of game-development i've never tried so far. yeah its a shame frown

@landixus: are you working allone?

@all: Just keep one posting. Even if i have a favorite atm, there's still a chance for everyone for a non-paid programmer wink

Setzen, sechs! laugh

Seriously, maybe itīs time for you to get a little bit into HLSL programming?
I donīt need anything fancy, just some extensions to the standard shader library like three or four lights per

shader insteat of two.

You can take a look at my current project :Schutzkontakt at the showcase.

:Schutzkontakt needs also some AI, but I donīt have a detailed
specification so far.
It would be a chance for you to let of some steam.

Iīve realised two commercial projects, so the chance is quite big that
this one getīs finished as well.

Would be nice to hear from you, imo you are a great programmer.
