what i hate about fpsc is you cant really do what you really want. (ok some users does real good things but...) It's like making maps for a fps game with avg. features, limited scripting.

The guy said he wanted to create an FPS for fun. FPS Creator allows for that and, frankly, it is fun wink .

The fpscreator is good but its physics engine is somewhat weak and the AI engine is limited and you can't use alternative engines. There are two engines I am thinking of now: C4 and AMPII but I think 3DGS is a good choice at the moment. Are there any tutorials on how to build FPS games in 3DGS?

I realy asked for the UE2.5 engine. The problem with it is the license is for one title only. The same problem is with relentENGINE. Both asks for further fees than the license.

If you want to create an fps game right now, you should give fps creator a try.
When it was first released in 2005, it was a lot of fun. Now the computers have much more power. Bigger levels, more action, more fun ...

But you have to know if you want to have fun or earn money with the engine.

there is a (semi-outdated) fps tutorial series on here : http://au.conitec.net/

although it may be outdated, it is still useful and if you just ask on the forum about problems you have you should be fine.

it really is a great in depth tutorial.
