servus ( means hello ^^ )..

i created a Map Editor, based on tiles.. ( thanks to al helpers like flits )...

But now i got a problem.

The ground of the map ( everything is topview ) has this picture:
Editor_Raster+1.tga

In the Editor:

But when i scroll a bit to the right:

Any idea how to make that ground endless, but able to scroll with the map????

move the ones that aren't visible right now on the left over to the right, to fill the empty space?

Ah, sorry, my bad, I didn't notice that it was one big image. Here you go, I made an example using your image:
http://files.filefront.com/InfiniteGridrar/;13707004;/fileinfo.html
viewX and viewY hold the positions of the "view". You can scroll by pressing and holding the middle mouse button (mouse wheel) and then moving the mouse.

I hope this works and is easy to use together with your project...
Is this what you were trying to do?

Oh. I didn't know that you were using Entities for the level editor, it looked like a 2d-Editor to me.
Well, you can't use this method with entities, unless you use view-entities instead, because Panels will always be drawn above the level(-entities) and I don't think there's a different way to use panels.
Do you want to use sprites instead? If so, I'll give it a go tomorrow, I have to do some history-homwork now...
It should be even simpler from what I can tell.

hmm...
I think 2D ( panel-based ) is faster..

Will try with your code and panels instead of entities..

If something´s wrong or i change back to ents.. i call again ^^

thanks ^^
