...it doesn't really let you "animate", really. It just lets you put pre-defined motion captures and other .BVH files onto a model. You can't actually make your own, well, anything. Kinda like Poser is for "modeling people". Still, even though it will look cookie-cutter like, I can see it being useful for quick tests or to send/show a potential animator to create custom animations rather than having to try and explain "The character kinda walks, but staggers a bit sometimes, and pauses, then continues, but one leg is sort of shorter than the other so he has a sort of 'hop' look to it".
If you can show a character with each of the above 'styles' (either as a single animation, or a series showing each aspect) the animator could get a better idea of what you have in mind.
