You cant publish with a trial or team version and also not with a warez version. Hope this hint helps.
Otherwise, publishing only needs a mouse click and its difficult to imagine how someone can make a mistake there. But maybe you have tampered with the engine path field, it does not look right. Normally the path to the engine is listed in that field. When you instead overwrite it with some nonsense path, you get no EXE.
