Ok.. before you ask, what happened to the RmXP-Converter. It´s still alive and i work paralell with a friend on it.



This Project is a special thing for me. A great Dream. The first game i thought of when i used A5 was - PROJECT RAIDEN!
Yeah.. That great vertical-Shooter thing.

Now, with A7, i got enough skills to create a Game like Raiden with 3D Game Studio.
It started with the Ship-model ( see image ), and is grown faster and faster.

Today, the Shot-Code is ready ( thx at EvilSOB for helping me with the Bugs ). So i present you a Video of it, and create this Topic.


1.) The Game Sources will be released for you at Release-Date of the game. But it´ll be known as RAIDEN-SDK.

2.) The Presentation:



Story:
It´s the Year 2766.
The 4rd World War ended a few months ago. Fought with heavy Armory, mechs and the newest technology of Air-Armory.
It´s the 7th September. the Date, they came visiting us.

Drake Silver and his brother Marcus are Pilots of the United nation Air Force(UNAF). And they are the best of all Pilots.
During the training Mission, a great Hole appears in the Sky. Metallic Arms grabbed Drakes Jet, and took him through the Hole.
A Shock for Marcus.
2 Years later. The visitors, now known as Galdy, appeared ever more frequently. Marcus got a Letter from the UNAF. He was chosen as the Pilot for the prototype Glider SL_1, and the Project neXus.
The Mission is clear. Defend the Earth from the Galdy. And feel the rage for his brother.
Marcus isn´t knowing, that he´ll see his brother again. later...

I see you took my idea to move it. grin It does look cool, you might want to talk to mpdeveloper_a and mpdeveloper_b to get some tips on effective things to do with a side scroller since I believe they are almost or are finished with theirs (kino_one)

i don´t like kino_one ( said that in their topic too )...

Full-size-screen arcade shooting is nothing for me... I clone the raiden thing. Small visible screensize, left/right are the player menüs and Stats. if the player flys left/right, the visible area scrolls.
That´s arcade gaming in oldschool type. That´s my Dream.

But thanks for the tip to talk to them. But i think i will do my own way. Hard, Fast and unbelievable crazy.

oh im not saying gameplay wise, I'm talking about for optimization. lots of objects on the screen and stuff like that, I figure there will be silmilar roadblocks even if the gameplay is different.

I would't go full screen either, it doesnt feel as fast paced that way.

That´s not that great Problem. On a testrun, i created 1000 Rocketpacks, wich are all paralell visible on screen. They all collide with each other and bounce of the view-edge and each other..

FPS still 60...
In game, i will not pass the 1000 Object Wall ^^

The only thing i´m searching, is a Lite-C working Code for a galaxy ( particles )

Here´s a Screenshot.

It shows the Ground-GUI of the Playview.


Explaining:
Shield = The Actual Shield Energy. if it´s 0, you´re dead!
Heat = Some Weapons ( Especially the beam ), are getting hot during firing. If this bar is full and you shot, your Shield Energy shrinks.
Weapon time = The Cooldown time of your Special Attack
Score = Your collected Points
Weapon = A picture of the actual Weapon
Lives = Here will be a Continue Graphic with the number of lives next to it
Kills = How many Enemies did you kill during the game
Sidekicks = How often do you collect the Wingman Upgrade.

Same for Second player.
In the 2-player Rushmode, you will be able to choose challenges for killing more enemies than the other player. or reaching better Score, loosing less lives ..and so on...
