my vc++ express 2008 doesnt allow me to open more than one file at a time. it always closes one file when opening another.. i have no clue which setting is responsible for this misbehaviour..

anyone has a solution??

In options there should be a checkbox that says "Allow Microsoft to screw up its own products". If you can't find it or can't turn it off, you'll have to reinstall.

i found it, clicked it and now windows is reinstalling and deleting every data available on all network and external storages..

Hmm I have never experienced that kind of behaviour with Visual Studio. I suppose you have activated your express edition? Otherwise, are you creating new files or new projects? I know those are obvious and simple things, but I just want to make sure that they aren't causing the problem. Anyway, if that doesn't help, you will probably have to reinstall it - or you could ask in the MSDN forums where you will actually meet Microsoft employees who have worked on the program and can probably tell you more about the cause of the problem.

ye, i guess i'll have to resinstall and see what happens. it works on all my computers, but on one, not. it are the same projects..
