Hey guys, i want to share with you the FPS weapon system that i am developing in the last week (with the help of some friends of the forum) . I hope it will be useful for you.

I would like to know if some one of you can donate to me animated weapons:

I woul like to add to my weapon system the next:

1-knife wepon (obiusly an animated arm with a knife).

And other weapons. I want to get a perfect and functional weapon system that serve as a template for users that wants to make a good FPS.

By now, i keep working in that.

***I would like to know if some one of you, that knows about AI, wants to join with me to make a game like QUAKE 1.

**I would like to know if there is a way to convert models from FPS Creator to Game Studio.

As you see, i am working hard to get a perfect functionally weapon system.

thank and enjoy it!

NOTE: PICK THE WEAPONS AND ACTIVATE THEM WITH KEYS 1, 2 AND 3.

Although there are some perks to having a unique annimation rather than object annimation in a single player game, It is generally a better practice to simply stick the camera on your face, and animate your model's hands. In this way you can more easily adapt this to NPC use, as well as not look stupid when(if) your gamers go online and don't understand why their weapon annimations look different than what others are doing. Also, this approach doesn't restrict you to using your code for Player Characters, as it would have no added code for displaying the knife's swing, which a NPC obviously wouldn't care too much about

As far as I know MED can import .x files witch are used in FPSC. BUT.... I never managed to get the animations to work good in MED or in any other program. It looks very bad - hands on one side and PARTS of weapons on the other. frown

New contribution, which I originally contributed to Visual3D.NET (a spectacular C#/.NET engine):

Hope it helps! wink
