I am planning to buy new hardware for my desktop PC.
I wanted to ask if somebody is interested in:

-a geforce 8800GT with 1GB Vram
-an intel core2duo E6850
-a gigabyte p35-ds3p
-4GB corsair ram

I can't promise that i will replace all of those components but cpu and gpu are most likely to be replaced.
(I cant tell now because i am not 100% sure if i will only buy a new cpu and gpu or all those components)
If anyone is intereseted pm me and tell me what you would like to have and how much you offer for it.

Thanks.

EDIT: This stuff is btw almost 2 years old and i never had any problems with it (except for now since not all games run at 60fps on full hd anymoar tongue ).

I don't think 2 year old hardware is still worth anything to be honest, but perhaps you find someone with a broken processor. Still remains to be seen whether they'll pay much.

Actually there are many, many people who have old/aging hardware, simply because they haven't been able to upgrade. In fact I am one of those people tongue so that isn't exactly true.

Your stuff looks very spiffy. If I had money, I'd be willing to buy it.

Actually it's not THAT bad in terms of the prices you can ask. On the CPU side there in the end only has been some strong development in the High-End sector with Intel's i7 CPUs. The other sectors only got minor performance improvements just as less power consumption. So the CPU still can be sold at a reasonable price and isn't totally outdated (don't misunderstand me though - you won't get anywhere near the price you paid). The same sort of goes for the mainboard which still should offer anything one might want to have...

The 4GB ram also cannot really be called "outdated" (especially as memory prices are rather high right now). That cannot really be told about the graphics card. A lot of improvements were done here although NVIDIA's 8xxx generation was extremely good and got minor shrinks / updates and still gets used in the entry- & mid-range (just new labeled with a higher number)...

If you want I could dig a bit to give you reasonable price ranges. At first you really should know for sure what exactly you want to sell at all because such a selling topic is a bit useless if one doesn't know what you want to sell after all..

yeah, if i had the money, i'd upgrade my cpu, becuase mine is slightly weaker, and thats my pc's biggest bottleneck right now but cant buy a current cpu.

C'mon this hardware isn't that bad at all.
For a 8800GT with only 512mb you pay 80€ at amazon.
And the cpu is 160€ (and the mobo still 60€)
So in performace terms the hardware isnt that old (judging by the price tongue ).

Well you shouldn't base your prices on some last shops trying to find someone dumb to pay their sellout prices. The E6850 is at about the same level of performance as the E8200 which costs something around 120 €. Subtract a small amount as your CPU isn't new / has no warranty and is inferior in terms of power consumption etc. and I'd say expecting to get 90-100 € should be realistic...

For the 8800 GT I'd try to go for 50-60 €. You can get a superior HD4850 or HD4770 for around 80 € today so you have to get quite a tad below that...

You of course can try to charge higher prices and you might succeed in that but in the end that's a matter of luck I guess...

Well i never said i would sell them for those prices all i was going to say is that the hardware isnt that outdated.
If i can sell the hardware on your price proposals i'd be really happy already tongue
