Hi!
I've found a very useful function based on the Manual, the file_dialog.
It works well in windowed mode, but if i switch to fullscreen the dialog window is invisible. I suspect the reason is that the window appears out of my application window, as i can see every time when i open that in windowed mode. Maybe i am wrong, but anyway, how should i use the function to achieve that works visible in fullscreen?
Edit: I checked with Task Manager, the dialog window appears below the fullscreen application.

I've made this program in that way to be suitable in working in both windowed and fullscreen mode, as the user wants. I don't wish to force the user to use only one mode. The mode can be immediatly switched with a keypress.
Edit: i checked the window with alt+ctrl+del that pops up the TaskManager. My application wasn't responsible after it tried to open the file_dialog window.

TEMPORARILY
Im sure it wont upset anyone if the application switches to windowed mode for the time you show the file dialog.

well, alternatively you would have to call the file select dialog manually (not with the engine function) and set the TopMost / AlwaysOnTop flag.
And if you have to select a file, I think that disrupts the gaming process itself.
I really don't see why you are so appalled at the idea.

What do you mean under have to call the file select dialog manually (not with the engine function) and set the TopMost / AlwaysOnTop flag. I can't see other function in the manual like this. Those flags also aren't in the manual. That is ok, i know selecting a file will disrupt the flow of the game. So i am not appaled, it just makes me little bit sad.

I'm not talking about functions in the manual, I'm talking about the Windows API. But as you don't know what it means, it's better you don't try. You might do more harm than good.
